COURT OF THE JUDICIAL MAGISTRATE FIRST CLASS CUM CIVIL JUDGE (JUNIOR DIVISION), LONGDING
The Court of JMFC-Cum-Civil Judge (Jr. Div.), Longding was established/functional in the district in the year 2019 with Smti. Epi Kapu as the first Judge of the Court. The Court falls under the jurisdiction of District & Sessions Judge, Khonsa Sessions division, Khonsa, Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh. The Court is located near D.C Office, Longding. It does not have its own infrastructure/building and therefore is temporarily functional in the building of the Consumer Court under the District Administration of Longding district. Legal Aid Services are provided in the district through District Legal Aid Services Authority (DLSA) whose Office is located in the Court Complex. National Lok Adalats are occasionally conducted to settle both the compoundable crime cases as well as civil dispute and other pre-litigation cases.
LONGDING DISTRICT
Longding District was once a part of Tirap Frontier Agency (TFA) which was created in 1943. The Tirap Frontier Division was later bifurcated into two Districts namely Tirap and Changlang in 1965. Longding district became a full-fledged district after bifurcating from Tirap district on 19th March 2012.
